Annie Hirshman is a UX Designer and Illustrator based in Brooklyn, NY.

I am a Product Designer at Pluribus Digital, where I design digital experiences that help the government help people.

After graduating from Pratt Institute, I started my career designing children’s books at Penguin Random House. Then I fell head-over-heels for user experience, and designed educational technology for W. W. Norton and Company. I became interested in civic tech while organizing volunteer tech workers for grassroots groups, and now work as a federal government contractor on login.gov, a sign-in and identity verification platform that connects the public to many government agencies. I‘m passionate about working in government because we design for everyone – our mission is to make services beneficial and accessible to all.

I love to make things, beautiful and useful, from the web to the printed page. I sketch, paint with watercolors, and plot to solve the world's problems with user research and human-centered design.
